Creative Writing
Writing is a form of art, which is the purpose of the Fine Arts Connection of Thomaston! Writing, like drawing, painting, music, dance, pottery can be a way of an individual expressing their thoughts or feelings. Creative writing runs the gamut from simple journaling, to writing a book! We would love to have writers join us for our monthly meetings to learn from each other. We can all improve our writing skills with confidence, and the support of other members. Currently, we are working on a literary magazine that will showcase our writings, along with photos and art from other FACT groups.

Creative Writing Group Meeting
May 22nd 2025The Fine Arts Connection of Thomaston (FACT) Creative Writing Group will hold a meeting on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 5:00 pm in Meeting Room 1 at Thomaston Town Hall, 158 Main St., Thomaston. The free group is open to all ages, and is focusing on developing/sharpening writing skills in poetry, journaling, short stories, novels, etc. The group is currently analyzing written items, and is working on publishing them. All are welcome to attend this group, chaired by Vinni Carey; you do not need to be a Thomaston resident.
Location is: Town Hall Meeting Room 1
